Prime Minister Narendra Modi Reaffirms Strong India-Bhutan Friendship with Bhutanese PM Tshering Tobgay
In a reaffirmation of India’s deep-rooted ties with Bhutan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay in New Delhi. During the meeting, PM Modi expressed his appreciation for Bhutan’s close friendship with India, calling it a “very special friend.”
Responding to a social media post by the Bhutanese Prime Minister, PM Modi took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the meeting. He wrote, “Glad to have met you in Delhi this morning, PM Tshering Tobgay. Bhutan is a very special friend of India’s, and our cooperation will continue to get even better in the times to come.”
This meeting further solidifies the longstanding bilateral cooperation between India and Bhutan, with both leaders affirming their commitment to strengthening ties across various sectors.
