Assam CM Reviews Major Road Projects for LGBI Airport and Kaziranga
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a key meeting with the PWD (Roads) to assess the progress of major road projects in the state. These projects are at different stages of completion and play a crucial role in boosting Assam’s infrastructure.
The review focused on vital projects, including the road leading to the new terminal of LGBI Airport, the proposed elevated corridor in Kaziranga, and the Ring Road linking north and south Guwahati. The Chief Minister examined the current status of these projects and discussed the specific challenges slowing their progress.
In the meeting, Dr. Sarma offered strategic directions to overcome these obstacles and ensure timely completion. His intervention was aimed at resolving issues quickly to keep the projects on track. The goal is to improve road connectivity across the state, particularly in key areas like the airport and national park regions, vital for tourism and daily commuting.
