Riyan Parag Drafted into India’s T20I Squad for Bangladesh Series

Sports Desk: Riyan Parag has secured his spot in India’s T20I squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the 15-member team, which includes several promising talents, bringing excitement to fans and the cricket community.

Parag’s selection follows his exceptional performances earlier this year against Sri Lanka. He made his international debut against Zimbabwe in July, becoming the first male cricketer from his region to join India’s senior team. His journey to this milestone was marked by a standout domestic season, followed by an impressive IPL campaign, where he showcased his skills with both bat and ball.

The three-match T20I series will commence after the Test matches, taking place in Gwalior, New Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12, respectively. This series presents a prime chance for young talents like Parag to shine and secure their place in India’s future plans for T20 cricket. Although T20Is might not be the immediate focus, these matches offer a valuable platform for emerging players.

The Indian squad for the series includes: Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Mayank Yadav.

This squad, featuring a blend of experience and new talent, promises to bring excitement and competition to the T20I series against Bangladesh.
