Kamrup Metro District Schools to Revert to Regular Timings from 1st October 2024
Guwahati: In a significant update, the Office of the District Elementary Education Officer cum District Mission Coordinator of Kamrup Metro, Assam, has issued an official order instructing all Government, Provincialized, and Private schools within the Kamrup Metropolitan District to resume their normal school timings starting 1st October 2024. This comes as a revision to the earlier schedule that was put in place due to specific circumstances.
According to the new directive, the prior timing, which mandated schools to function between 7:30 AM and 12:30 PM, is officially withdrawn. All schools under the district’s jurisdiction are to return to their standard operational hours, as per the norm before this adjustment. The initial schedule, implemented under a previous order issued on 20th September 2024, has now been canceled with immediate effect.
The directive, issued by the District Elementary Education Officer (DMC), Kamrup Metro, ensures that normalcy is restored across all educational institutions, including Government, Provincialized, and Private Schools, starting from the first day of October.
This development is expected to ease the operational routines of schools and provide parents and students with clarity regarding school timings moving forward.
