Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Campaign in Assam on April 9
Desk Report, April 08, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Assam on April 9 to intensify the election campaign in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. This revised visit comes after the cancellation of his earlier planned visit on April 7 and 8.
During his one-day trip, Home Minister Shah will campaign in the districts of Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, and Dibrugarh. The initial itinerary had included election rallies in Hojai, Lakhimpur, and Gohpur, which have now been replaced by the updated schedule on April 9.
Assam Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also slated to visit Assam on April 17. Prime Minister Modi is expected to address a rally in Nalbari as part of the election campaign.
The political activities are intensifying across the nation as the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making concerted efforts to strengthen its campaign in Assam, a state that holds significance in the upcoming elections.
The revised visit of Home Minister Amit Shah to Assam on April 9 is anticipated to boost the BJP’s election campaign in the state. The party is leaving no stone unturned to secure a victory in the Lok Sabha elections and is actively engaging in various campaign activities.
