Kamrup PWD Sub Divisional Officer Arrested by Assam Vigilance for Accepting Bribe

Guwahati, September 21, 2024: The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, trapped Subodh Das, Sub Divisional Officer, Territorial Building Sub Division, PWD & NH, red-handed at his Mirza, Kamrup office. He was caught while accepting a bribe from a complainant for processing the latter’s bills. The swift action highlighted Assam’s commitment to fighting corruption.

Officials acted promptly after receiving the complaint, ensuring that Subodh Das couldn’t escape scrutiny. This operation reflects the Assam government’s determination to maintain transparency and integrity within its departments.

Assam DGP appreciated the vigilance team’s successful operation.
