Tragic Discovery: Body of Missing 13-Year-Old Khadija Begum Found in Kulsi River After SDRF Operation
Nagarbera, March 06, 2024: In a somber turn of events, the lifeless body of 13-year-old Khadija Begum, who went missing while bathing in the Kulsi river at Laruajan in South Kamrup, has been found. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully recovered the teenager’s body today in an operation on the Kulsi river.
Khadija, the daughter of Samsul Haque, a laborer residing in Goraimari and working at a local brick kiln in Laruajan, had gone missing yesterday while enjoying a bath with friends in the river, near the Jorsimalu Police Out Post.

Despite the efforts of locals searching the river yesterday, the teenage girl remained elusive. Today, the SDRF, in collaboration with the local community, conducted a search operation, resulting in the recovery of Khadija Begum’s lifeless body from the Kulsi river.
