STF Assam Seizes Heroin and Ganja in Patorkuchi Operation, Arrests Two Suspects
Guwahati, September 13, 2024: Acting on intelligence, a Special Task Force (STF) team in Assam, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (STF) Satendra Singh Hazari, conducted an operation at Patorkuchi under Basistha Police Station. During the operation, they arrested two individuals and seized a significant quantity of illegal substances.
Authorities recovered eight soap boxes containing 102 grams of heroin and 2.579 kilograms of ganja from the suspects. In addition to the drugs, they seized a mobile phone and cash from the scene.
This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of Assam’s law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region. Further investigations are underway to trace the origins of the contraband and any connections to larger drug networks.
