Key Accused in DB Stock Scam, Dipankar Barman, Arrested in Goa
Guwahati: In a significant breakthrough, Dipankar Barman, a central accused in the DB Stock scam, was arrested by a Guwahati Police team in Goa. The operation, led by ACP Amit Mahato, IPS, in coordination with Goa Police’s Crime Branch, resulted in Barman’s apprehension following months of evasion.
The arrest yielded a major financial recovery, with authorities seizing Rs 27,06,750 in cash from Barman’s residence in Goa. This raid not only underscores ongoing law enforcement efforts but also highlights cooperation between state agencies.
Barman, previously on the run, was tracked down after meticulous surveillance and coordination efforts between Guwahati and Goa Police. The DB Stock scam, implicating multiple suspects, has shaken public trust due to its wide-reaching financial fraud allegations. This recent arrest marks a critical step in holding those responsible accountable.
