STF Arrests Three Suspects in Guwahati Drug Peddling Bust
Guwahati, March 21, 2024: In a significant crackdown on drug peddling, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam police has apprehended three individuals in Guwahati. The operation, carried out with precision and efficiency, resulted in the arrest of Rahim Ali, Pranjit Prasad (18 years old), and Krishna Das (19 years old). Acting on credible intelligence, the STF conducted a raid at the 10th mile, Jorabat, under Basistha police station jurisdiction on Thursday.
During the operation, the STF team, led by Inspector Kapil Pathak, seized 48 vials containing suspected heroin, amounting to approximately 68.5 grams. In addition to the narcotics, the team confiscated a mobile phone, Rs 1230 in cash, and a scooty believed to be connected to the illicit activities.

The successful apprehension of the suspects marks a significant victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region.
