Silchar, March 01, 2024: In a significant stride towards bolstering healthcare infrastructure, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Silchar Cancer Centre today. The state-of-the-art facility, a testament to the Assam Cancer Care Foundation’s commitment, was funded through the state government’s Vikas Yatra initiative.
Proudly standing at a cost of Rs 295 crore, the Silchar Cancer Centre, located in the heart of Cachar district, is a crucial addition to Assam’s healthcare landscape. The inauguration ceremony marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to enhance medical facilities across the state.
