Massive Fire Devastates Residential Area of New Ghat in Dhubri
Dhubri, March 19, 2024: A devastating fire tore through the residential area of New Ghat in Dhubri, leaving two families, belonging to Newghat’s Mannaf Ali Dewani and Sadagar Ali, utterly distraught. The blaze, which ignited at 1.30 AM, quickly engulfed homes and possessions, with an estimated property loss exceeding Rs 15 lakh. Among the casualties were vital documents and three motorcycles, all consumed by the inferno.
Initial reports suggest the fire originated from an electrical short circuit, according to the affected families. The incident has sparked fear and uncertainty among residents, as they come to terms with the extensive damage inflicted upon their homes and belongings.

Efforts to contain the flames were underway as several fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene. Despite the heroic efforts of firefighters, the fire wreaked havoc before eventually being brought under control.
