Karbi Anglong Police Seize ₹4 Crore Worth of Heroin, Two Arrested
Desk Report, July 18, 2024: Acting on intelligence inputs, the Karbi Anglong Police intercepted a vehicle and seized 548.93 grams of heroin. The contraband, valued at approximately ₹4 crore, was found hidden in secret compartments of the vehicle. Authorities apprehended two individuals in connection with the seizure.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the Karbi Anglong Police for their successful operation. He took to social media platform ‘X’ to commend their effort, writing, “Good job.”
The Karbi Anglong Police’s swift action and effective use of intelligence inputs demonstrate their commitment to maintaining law and order. As drug trafficking remains a significant challenge, continued cooperation and proactive measures are crucial in combating this menace.
