Guwahati Police Recover ₹1.99 Lakh Lost in Online Scam, Probe Continues
Guwahati; March 07, 2025: A cyber fraud victim who lost ₹3,25,998 to an online financial scam has received partial relief. The Cyber Police Station (PS) of Guwahati Police successfully recovered ₹1,99,998 and credited it back to the victim’s account.
However, the investigation is far from over. Authorities are actively working to retrieve the remaining amount. Cyber police continue to track digital trails and coordinate with financial institutions to ensure further recovery.
Online scams have been on the rise, with fraudsters using deceptive tactics to exploit unsuspecting individuals. Authorities urge citizens to remain cautious while making online transactions and report any suspicious activities immediately.
