Massive Drug Crackdown by Fakirganj Police: One Arrested with Significant Seizure
Dhubri, March 28, 2024: In a concerted effort to combat the rampant drug trade, the Fakirganj police initiated a large-scale operation resulting in the arrest of an alleged drug peddler. Under the leadership of Kundan Rabidas, the Officer-in-Charge of Fakirganj police station, a meticulously planned raid was conducted in Salkata, acting upon intelligence gleaned from undisclosed sources.
During the operation, the police apprehended Mohabbat Bashid, also known as Zakir Hussain, on suspicion of his involvement in narcotics trafficking. Subsequently, two heroin soap boxes and 18 containers of heroin were seized from the possession of the suspect. This significant seizure underscores the dedication of Police in curbing the proliferation of illicit substances within the region.

In light of the apprehension, the Fakirganj police have registered a case bearing number 29/2024 against Zakir Hussain, in accordance with the relevant legal provisions pertaining to drug-related offenses. Following protocol, Zakir Hussain has been remanded to the custody of the Dhubri district court for further judicial proceedings.
