Dhubri Police’s Success: Female Mobile Thieves Gang Dismantled, Four Arrested
Dhubri, April 26, 2024: In a landmark victory in Dhubri, police have successfully busted a notorious gang of female thieves using mobile phones. Authorities arrested four people involved in illegal activities after a targeted attack near Nakkatimor, near Dhubri.
These operations resulted in the recovery of 17 mobile phones, underscoring the scale of the criminal enterprise. The arrested include Mamoni Begum, Kajal Roy, Rumi Begum and Reshmi Begum, all residents of Barpeta.
The criminals were arrested in Dhubri Nakkatimore area, where they were actively involved in crime. The gang was found to have taken advantage of the bustling atmosphere of the Ashoka Astomi Mela, a community fair held in Dhubri, to carry out their theft.
