Chief Minister Sarma Directs Swift Action on Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan to Boost Entrepreneurship

Guwahati, August 29, 2024: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has called for swift action on the Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan scheme. During a recent review meeting, he directed the Industries, Commerce, and Public Enterprises Department to ensure thorough preparations for its successful execution. This initiative, led by the department, aims to create an entrepreneur-driven ecosystem across Assam.

The Chief Minister emphasized the scheme’s potential to transform the state’s economy by fostering entrepreneurship. It is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, benefiting both rural and urban areas. The scheme focuses on supporting new ventures while strengthening existing businesses, which is crucial for sustainable growth.
