BSF Operation Leads to Arrest of Cattle Smuggler on Indo-Bangla Border
Hatsingimari, May 10, 2024: In a recent operation along the Indo-Bangla border in Hatsingimari, the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully apprehended a smuggler. The individual, identified as Rahim Badsha from the Sukhchar police station area, was caught last night with smuggled cattle.
The BSF intercepted the smuggled cattle as they were being transported into Bangladesh through the rugged border terrain near the Brahmaputra. As a result of the operation, two smuggled cattle and a mobile phone, presumably belonging to the smugglers, were seized.
Following protocol, the BSF has handed over both the apprehended smuggler and the seized cattle to the Sukhchar police. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies in curbing illegal activities along the border.
