Assam CM Reviews Preparations for Japanese Speaker’s Visit, Focuses on Cultural Showcase
Guwahati; April 30, 2025: In a high-level meeting held in Guwahati, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed all plans for the upcoming visit of the Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth arrangements and promoting Assam’s vibrant cultural identity.
The Chief Minister underlined the growing importance of Indo-Japan ties. He noted that this visit holds special value for the state and the nation. So, the government aims to make the occasion memorable and meaningful.
CM Sarma instructed officials to present Assam’s rich traditions and heritage in a dignified manner. He stressed that showcasing local culture will strengthen people-to-people connections between Japan and Assam.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also went over the full itinerary of the Japanese delegation. The plan includes significant visits to both Guwahati and Jagiroad. Authorities were directed to ensure proper coordination at all locations.
