150 Bn BSF Clinches Top Honors at Inter-Battalion Sector-Level Sports Competition 2025 in Dhubri
Dhubri, June 10, 2025: The Inter-Battalion (Sector-Level) Sports Competition 2025 ended on June 10 at the 150 Bn BSF campus in Alamganj, Dhubri. Hosted by 150 Bn BSF, the grand closing ceremony marked the end of a spirited five-day multi-sport event that began on June 5.
Upendra Rai, DIG (Designated), graced the event as the chief guest. He was joined by Kamal Kumar, Commandant (Adm), and other senior officers from Sector HQ BSF Dhubri, 66 Bn, and 89 Bn.
The competition featured multiple sports including volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, athletics, aquatics, judo, and bodybuilding. Female BSF troops also competed in dedicated athletic, judo, and aquatic events.
Troops from 66 Bn, 150 Bn, and 183 Bn BSF took part in this intense and well-organized tournament. The 150 Bn BSF emerged as the top-performing team, winning the finals in volleyball, kabaddi, and kho-kho by defeating 66 Bn in each match.
In individual events, 150 Bn BSF dominated once again. The team secured a total of 16 gold, 14 silver, and 10 bronze medals across aquatics, athletics, judo, and bodybuilding events.
Throughout the competition, players displayed high levels of discipline, enthusiasm, and strong sportsmanship. Their commitment was evident in every match and event.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commandant of 150 Bn BSF, welcomed all guests and participants. He briefly shared the vision behind the inter-battalion sports competition and thanked everyone for making the event a success.
During his address, Chief Guest Upendra Rai stressed the importance of sports in building both skills and physical health among troops. He assured complete support to those selected to represent Sector HQ Dhubri in upcoming frontier-level tournaments.
The ceremony was smoothly anchored by Sudhir Kumar, 2IC. Toward the end, Sanjay Kumar Singh handed over the sector flag to SK Sinha, Commandant (Ops), in a ceremonial gesture.
Officers Ramesh Choudhary (Deputy Commandant) and Satya Narayan (Assistant Commandant) played key roles in organizing and managing the event. Their efforts ensured the competition concluded successfully and memorably.
