Tragedy Strikes at Raja Brick Kiln: Child Laborer Fatally Crushed in Heart-Wrenching Mishap
Dhubri, March 09, 2024: In a heart-wrenching incident at the Raja Brick Kiln in Madhusoulmari, tragedy unfolded as a child laborer lost his life after a stack of bricks collapsed. Anarul Haque, the young victim, met with a fatal accident while engaged in loading bricks onto a tractor within the brick kiln premises.
The unfortunate mishap occurred when the child laborer accidentally dislodged the stacked bricks, resulting in a perilous fall that claimed Anarul Haque’s life on the spot. Another child laborer sustained severe injuries during the incident, casting a shadow over the grim reality of child exploitation within the brick kiln industry.
Situated under the jurisdiction of the Gauripur Police Station, the Madhusoulmari-based Raja Brick Kiln was found to be employing underage laborers in its operations. The deceased Anarul Haque hailed from Burirmarai, further highlighting the proximity of child labor to their homes.

Allegations have surfaced, accusing the brick kiln operators, namely Abdul Sabur, Akher, and Rafiqul, of employing child laborers by luring them away from their homes. Notably, Abdul Sabur, is reported to be a government teacher, raising concerns about the involvement of educated individuals in such practices.
This tragic incident has sparked outrage and drawn attention to the ongoing issue of child labor within the brick kiln industry. Authorities are urged to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to Anarul Haque’s untimely demise and to address the broader concern of child exploitation in workplaces.
