Amit Shah and Himanta Biswa Sarma Energize BJP’s Campaign with Vibrant Roadshow in Tinsukia Ahead of 2024 General Elections
Desk Report, April 10, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spearheaded a spirited roadshow in Tinsukia, Assam, intensifying the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign momentum in the state ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Earlier in Lakhimpur, addressing a poll rally, Amit Shah underscored the unwavering resolve of the Narendra Modi-led government in safeguarding India’s territorial integrity against any Chinese encroachment. “Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, China has not been able to encroach even a single inch of our land,” Shah declared, drawing a stark contrast to past administrations.
Taking a historical perspective, Shah criticized the response of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru during the 1962 Chinese aggression, emphasizing the proactive measures taken by the current government to protect India’s borders. He further shifted the spotlight onto the Opposition, particularly the Congress party, accusing them of a historical lapse in effectively countering China’s advances.
Addressing the ongoing concerns over infiltration and unrest in Assam, Shah commended the initiatives of the Modi government in strengthening the state’s borders and restoring stability through peace accords. He also questioned the recent statements made by Rahul Gandhi, advocating for the preservation of Assam’s cultural heritage. Shah highlighted the Congress’s track record of neglect towards the region’s cultural icons, aiming to spotlight the BJP’s commitment to the state’s development and security.
The vibrant roadshow in Tinsukia serves as a significant push for the BJP’s campaign in Assam, with both Shah and Sarma rallying support for the party’s MP candidates and highlighting the government’s achievements in ensuring national security and regional stability.
