Indian YouTuber BeerBiceps Targeted by Cyberattack, Channels Removed After ‘Tesla’ and ‘Trump’ Rename
Desk Report, September 26, 2024: Indian YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as “BeerBiceps,” fell victim to a cyberattack on Wednesday night. Hackers took over his YouTube channels, renaming them with references to “Tesla” and “Trump” while deleting most of his content. This attack mirrors a recent hacking incident involving India’s Supreme Court YouTube channel.
Reports reveal that the hackers renamed BeerBiceps’ main channel to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and his personal channel to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.” They swiftly removed all his podcasts and interviews, replacing them with older videos featuring Elon Musk and Donald Trump. The incident shocked his followers and raised concerns over the security of content creators’ online platforms.
YouTube responded promptly to the hacking incident, removing the compromised channels. Now, when viewers attempt to access the pages, they are met with the message, “This page isn’t available.” The sudden disappearance of content left Allahbadia’s fans searching for answers.
Ranveer Allahbadia, who was initially in Singapore but later confirmed to be in Mumbai, has not released an official statement about the hacking. However, he indirectly addressed the issue on Instagram. Sharing a picture of his meal, he wrote, “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food. Vegan burgers. Death of BeerBiceps met with Death of diet.”
The cyberattack has highlighted the growing vulnerability of digital platforms, urging content creators to take additional security measures to protect their channels. Followers eagerly await further updates from Allahbadia as he works to regain control of his digital presence.
