Assam Police Foils Infiltration Attempt, Pushes Back Two Bangladeshi Nationals at Karimganj Border

The individuals, Shahadat Hussain and Priyanka Gain, were attempting to cross into India illegally. However, the police swiftly acted, stopping the duo at the border.
After intercepting the infiltrators, Assam Police ensured they were pushed back across the international boundary. The operation showcased the department’s commitment to maintaining security along the sensitive border area.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged the quick action by Assam Police on the social media platform ‘X.’ He praised the team’s effort, urging continued vigilance. “Good job Team! We have to remain vigilant against this serious threat,” he posted.
The incident highlights Assam’s ongoing efforts to safeguard its borders and prevent illegal infiltration. With growing concerns over border security, authorities remain on high alert to curb such activities.
