Dhubri; April 23, 2025: A police constable from Dhubri was seriously injured after being attacked by a group of people linked to a drug case accused. The incident occurred on April 22, shortly after the arrest of Kudus Ali, who was wanted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Following his arrest, Ali was taken to South Salmara Mankachar for further legal proceedings. However, later that evening, tension escalated. A group of individuals, identified as Ali’s family members, reportedly attacked Constable Abbas Ali Mondal. He serves in the Rider Party of Dhubri Police.

The attack left the constable injured. Though the police have not yet revealed the extent of his injuries, the incident is being treated seriously.
